its a hoot...

Hi All Thank you for your lovely comments on funny feather's, there is always lots of wildlife going on in the field, there's a pair of kestrels as well as a pheasant that visits from time to time.
back to this post, I  really enjoyed using these bamboo knitting needles, they came as a free gift from the magazine, I've always used metal one's before but these are lovely so of course I had to order a set of bamboo needles in all sizes
lol

These Owls were great fun to make, only taking a few days once I got back into my knitting stride

Pooh and friends rug is finished

Thank you for your lovely comments on my other posts.

Pooh bear and friends rug is finished and I'm fairly happy with it,
I say fairly because it wasn't finished the way I had planned.

I had bought some rug binding tape that was supposed to stick the canvas down but it was worse than useless and wouldn't even stick an envelope down
LOL
So..the first big plan was scrapped and it was down to hand stitching rug binding on,
using nylon invisible thread,

first stitching it onto the canvas

then going back round again to stitch down onto the back of the rug canvas

and one finished winnie the pooh rug :))

pooh bear update

I've been working on my pooh bear rug and it's nearly finished,

just piglet to do :)

this time I'm NOT sewing the binding on the sewing machine..last time I broke SO many needles

lol

And I'm not sewing it by hand...I worked my fingers to the bone doing that,

how am I going to finish it...

it's March so that means spring is on the way, warmer, sunnier days are not far away! and just to remind you of what spring looks like lol
