A New Year and A New Challenge

Well, its nearly 2015 and for this new years new challenge I've chosen to try my hand at silk ribbon embroidery and this is what I have chosen to start with

Oh I love a challenge
LOL
and just to add to the challenge all the instructions are in chinese
:)))
but does that deter me...
NOooo
I  WILL conquer this beautiful picture and craft.
keep tuned for updates
:))

Last years challenge was to learn how to use a sewing machine
and through the year I made my first ever Quilt which you can see Here and two tote bags and gathered lots of fabric to stash for future projects :))
Wishing everyone a very happy new year in all your craft adventures.

HAPPY STITCHING :)

Through the eyes of a child

vintage christmas

Do you remember when YOU were a child, and it was the holidays,
Finally!! it was here!
Cold noses pressed against cold windows,
presents wrapped up in glitter and string,
stockings hung at the end of the bed,
waiting for Santa and what he may bring.

vintage christmas

And there was the magic, oh yes.
and the absolute certainty that anything was possible.
Through the eyes of a child we find the joy of Christmas.
in their hearts we find its meaning.

Merry Christmas
