A Finish....

Hi all
hope you are well and happily crafting :)
I will catch up with you all in the next few days.
My Sunburst Throw is finished and I really enjoyed my first attempt at crochet




I made 180 squares altogether, as far as I can see there aren't 2 the same! don't know how I managed that as I didn't even check as I was going along.


here it is all cosy on my craft room chair :)


I added a scalloped yellow border all the way round to finish off.


and just in time for Halloween I bought this new book out on Oct 8th
a spooky haunted house...good bed time reading
lol

  3. your throw is so perfect and so vintage looking, love all the colors, that book looks so good, I see a lady sitting on the chair with the throw reading with tea, or latte.

Hiya dearest Summer long time no type but then it looks like you've been a VERY busy lady :)))))) and straight away its a BIG BIG '' way to go '' dear lady , wooooowsers will you look at that , it's so striking with the multiple colourations rainbowed across the black background , and the yellow trim finishes the piece a treat JUST LOVE IT Summer :))))) , a striking piece dear Summer and one for the lap on those wintery evenings or long drives cometh the darkened time of winter ....Well done you dear Summer on yet another new venture completed . Yet another craft crossed off your '' TO DO '' list . My late mother and her mother used to make these throws and let me tell all you viewers there's some weight in them , and they find themselves taking up multiple roles about the place the little ones love them , there tops as comfort blankets and snuggle downs when you have tired little eyes about the place :))))) . As always dear Summer you have applied your self to said craft and mastered it yet again :))))) ..thanks for sharing your beautiful finished piece , creative gift , and time with us dear Summer ..Love the book dear lady '' they said the dead can't hurt you but they were WRONG '' hahahaha lovely ..well at least you can hide under the throw over when the boogie man comes crawling out of the attic hatch whooooooow hahahahaha .. just dont bite your nails they look amazing sweetie :)))) .. just let Mr Puddie deal with any would be nasty dear Summer.. and I'll give you ten to one on the Bruiser ..go get him Mr '' P '' hahahahaha ...creeeeeeeek whats that on the landing ....oooohh no the lights have gone out hahahahahaha sleep tight dearest Summer sweet dreams dear lady :)))))) ...Dear Summer as ALWAYS my most sincere respects Yours Ban ^~~^ :)))))))

  5. For a first attempt at crochet I think you have done an amazingly professional job and have probably made lots of other crocheters very jealous! It's amazing and just what you need for your legs now these cold autumn evenings are drawing in. Very well done! :)

    1. Thank you Rachel, I love trying new things, some I enjoy, some not so much ( like the sewing machine) but we never know if we don't try :) I enjoyed this very much.

  7. It's amazing this gorgeous Sunbursts blanket is your first attempt at crochet.....incredible! This gorgeous blanket certainly packs a wonderful and riotous punch of colour!! Love it!!
