Hi all :) just a quick update on what i'm working on. This is winter cat that i'm working on at the moment, it's coming along nicely and am 3 weeks into this project now.
Hi all :) here are 2 beautiful cross stitch pictures that are on my wish list to do..I will be doing after I finish my cat series collection, BOTH are very beautiful and being a great animal and nature lover I'm swaying to doing the Spirit Glen first...but on the other hand English Rose is Soooo beautiful with its bright red vibrant colours... decisions, decisions hahaha..what to do..what do YOU think :)
I made this picture in cross stitch a couple of years after Paddy passed away.
this was a photo of him that I had made into a cross stitch chart. it took only a couple of months to make and has pride of place on the living room wall :)
one of a set of four, and was very enjoyable to do after 5 years of blue, thats why I chose this one with its bright sunny colors. The next project i'm working on at the moment is "Winter Cat" Hopefully it will be finished some time in December :)
Ohh what a project this one was... taking 5 YES 5 years to complete,
it was a project I just couldn't do for too long at a time, although it's a beautiful picture, the continuous different shades of blue made it so monotonous to work on for long periods of time so it was packed away for many months before I forced myself to get on with it, and finally finished it after 5 long years.
I have made this picture 3 times now and should know the chart off by heart lol
I first made it for myself, then some friends saw it and loved it, so I made it again (twice) for birthday gifts. started Jan 11th 2008 - finished 1st Feb 2008
This is "Gaze" a beautiful picture I made in 2007 and was my first big project. it is stitched on 14 count ada and using DMC threads. I also used a frame to stitch it on, in fact I always use a frame as its comfortable and keeps the fabric taut, and leaves one hand free to drink tea lol :)
