Hi dear Summer I hope I find you well :)))))) and whom joins the ranks of the babies many today in the zoological gathering of friends :)))))..aughhhhhhh its the land turtle cute baby better known as Mr tortoise , tortoise's although named so are in fact land turtles , there existence on earth proceeds crocodiles and lizards , the first fossils of there being from some 230 million years ago , the species at that time having no upper shell just the lower , tortoises are shielded from predators by a shell , the top part of the shell is the carapace , the underside is the plastron , and the two are connected by the bridge . The carapace is fused to both the vertebrae and rib cage and turtles are unique among vertebrates in that the pectoral and pelvic girdles are inside rather than outside the rib cage ..absolutely amazing creatures capable of incredible life spans , the tortoise Tu'i Malila lived with the Tongan royal family until its passing over in 1965 aged an amazing 188 years old , Tu'i Malila was presented to the family by Captain Cook just after its birth in 1777 ..Adwaita of the India zoo , was 150 years old before passing ...and Harriet of the Australian zoo initially Charles Darwins and brought back on the Beagle ( sailing ship ) was just short of being 176 years old before passing over ..there are many more such astounding elongated life spans among these incredible creatures ...and here we have this beautiful creature head held high from within his/her protective shell , the shell made up of its interlocking keratinous scutes ( scaled plates ) each having there own unique name and position on top and bottom shell , and how you have so captured that intermarriage of locking plates dear Summer as we see them in there overlay upon this beautiful smiling creatures back , I so love the subtle changing tones that add that depth and over laying shadow upon the peripheral edged scutes of the shell , and that softening below the eye that gives this beautiful creature its depth of eye , that tiny speck of reflective light within the eye , one has to look into the eye of one of these creatures to see that theres a lot more going off in there than its external presence provides they are truly a work of biological engineering within , and when you have born witness to 150 to 180 years of change you pick up a few things :))))) ,such an enchanting complex of what is representative within the new born , just so wonderfully composed dear Summer :)))) ..then to variable refractive light as it leaves the wings of the dragon fly and the mosaic scales of rainbows caught as gossamer upon the butterfly's wings and scented of the budding water lily ,all so meticulously laid down in stitches so uniform and perfectly aligned . Such work can but only be born of love , I've said it before but must surely say it again , you create here dear Summer such a beautiful thing for one yet to be ..who's whole essence says '' I LOVE YOU '' truly a wonderful gift in ANYONE'S eyes..as always dear Summer an enjoyable visit . ReplyDeletehi dear Summer just seen your '' to date '' blanket , ooooohhhhhh Summer its just so sublimely gorgeous . It encapsulates all that it IS to be newborn centered by the strength of the tree of loving life whom's heart beats within all.. personally dear Summer I believe in an introduction to as many of our fellow earth inhabitants as possible , as SOON as possible , for to know it , is not to fear it ,is not to hurt or kill it in that fear:))))) And what better an introduction in one themselves newborn but to become familiar with some of our fellow earth inhabitants as they grow , surrounded by their loving warmth both physically and hypothetically for what will start life as a full blanket for baby will become a pram blanket as baby grows older and as such the time to say hi to the wonderful creatures nanna Summer brought lovingly to life , there can be no price set for the hour upon hour you have lovingly given unto this wondrous creation dear Summer IT IS PRICELESS, your reward will come in seeing your grandchild snuggled up amidst all the creatures you have worked endlessly to give unto life, that he or she may be , and feel at one with them .In this world of hi tech gadgetry dear Summer I think many have lost sight as to the meaning of what a TRUE gift really is ..YOU will without doubt in your creation of this wondrous gift give unto your grandchild , A TRULY WONDERFUL GIFT dear Summer , for one of the greatest gifts you can give to another is YOUR TIME :))))) . as always dear Summer I remain yours respectfully Ban:))))))
